秋のよく晴れた日曜日、杉玉に使う杉枝を取りにいってきました。
真庭の友人に毎年頼んで杉枝を取らせてもらっています。
現地に着くと眺めのいい絶景！絶景の前には急斜面が・・・(*_*;
友人いわくここ数年では一番きつい斜面とのこと(笑)
絶景を見ながらお弁当で腹ごしらえ。
デザートのブドウで気合を入れていざ杉枝とりへっ
気合が空回りするほどの斜面で、何人かすべる転ぶ

各自なんとか足場を確保しながら2時間ほどで
トラックいっぱい杉枝が取れました。

Cedar branches cut and collected for “SUGIDAMA”, Cedar Ball.
“SUGIDAMA” means a ball made of branches of Cedar trees. For Japanese SAKE Breweries, the SUGIDAMA is very important symbol to inform completion of brewing processes of new Sake for customers. If you find the SUGIDAMA, Cedar Ball, hung on the eaves above the entrance of the Sake brewery or Sake shop, you can get new Sake of the year.
One sunny autumn day, we sent our mission to collect huge branches of cedar trees to make the new SUGIDAMA for this year.
I ask my colleague lumberman who is also President of a lumber company living in Maniwa City to allow cut and collect branches of cedar trees every year.
On our arrival of destination in the certain mountain, the superb view spreading in front of us and it excited us. At the same time, Cliff of horror under our feet・・・（*_*;
The colleague lumberman whispered “The toughest cliff in recent several years.”
We filled our stomach with beautiful Lunch Bento and the beautiful sky view above that cliff. Delicious Muscat for dessert encouraged us stepping out to the cliff for our mission The Ceder Branches.
Somebody slipped, the other fell down, next disappeared despite of their bravery.
After that, each person managed to secure a foothold and the truck became full of cedar blanches in about two hours.

酒づくり大学のみんなと「都米」の収穫をしました。みんなで一斉に田んぼに入り、来年用の種もみを採りました。石包丁を使って収穫してみる人もいたよ＾＾
収穫が終わると蔵に持ち帰り、穂先から籾（もみ）を落とす作業をしました。
手で地道にやる人、千歯こきを使う人、みんな頑張ってくれました！
作業を一通り終えるとお楽しみのお昼ごはん。メニューは自家製カレーと家の敷地で採れたカキと貰い物のザクロ、いちじくの日本酒コンポ―ト♪
8月11日(水)～15日(日)まで、お盆休みを頂きます。
8月16日(月)より営業再開致します。
